The easily walkable loop hiking route is designed as a wonderful Bee Theme Trail presenting several stations where you learn many interesting details on bee keeping, the production of mountain honey and the life of bees in the high Alpine area. For example:

On this marvelous nature exploration trail in Ochsengarten you will find answers to all these and many more questions revolving around honey bees, wild bees and other related species. A highly adventurous and exciting trail for all the family. Take an insight into the daily life of a honey bee or visit the show beehive where you can watch the busy little insects close by.
Distance: approx. 3 km
Access points: at the school (main access – parking area) or right opposite Gasthof Waldesruh (parking area available).
Summer Season (July, August):
Every Wednesday at 3.30 pm you can join a guided walking tour (min. 6 persons) with an apiarist, followed by honey tasting. On request, you discuss the tour while enjoying honey cake and coffee after the walk.
